Directing is an art form which has developed throughout theatre history and practicum.

Directors oversee various aspects of the production. Their work begins in pre-production meetings and preparation. They're instrumental in the audition process. They cross collaborate with key members of the technical crew. They block the play and are crucial in the interpretation of the play; and guiding the actors through their process.

What is crucial in the casting process? How does a director help motivate and push an actor from ensemble to a principle cast member? How do directors take characters on a page to a standing ovation for the actors associated with the production? The panel of directors assembled will address these questions and discuss different strategies and practices they use to bring productions to life.

Over the course of approximately one hour, some of Albuquerque's most successful and consistently working directors share their experiences in the craft and some of the milestones of their artistic journey.
