Have you ever wondered what goes into creating a solo show? How does it differ from doing a regular play -- from the point of view of the actor, the director and the playwright? To answer those questions and talk about their experiences, we have put together a panel of Albuquerque theatre luminaries to share their experiences working in this very special theatrical genre..
Director extraordinaire Denise Schulz has directed numerous solo plays. Debi Kierst has played Emily Dickenson in "The Belle of Amherst," Joan Didion in "The Year of Magical Thinking," and Miss Margarida in "Miss Margarida's Way." Peter Kierst has been Clarence Darrow in a solo show of the same name, and Oscar Wilde in "Diversions and Delights." Lena ArmstrongStrober both wrote and starred in "Confessions of a Minimalist Horder" in last year's QSolo Fest.
